Farmer Bros. Company Description
Farmer Bros. Co. knows beans about farming -- coffee beans that is. Farmer Bros. roasts and packages coffee and sells it to restaurants, hotels, fast-food outlets, convenience stores, and hospitals. The company also distributes related or "allied" coffee products such as filters, cups, creamers, as well as teas, spices, and soup bases to those same customers. Farmer Bros. distributes more than 400 products from about 100 branch warehouses in major cities in more than a dozen US states. Its Brewmatic division makes coffee dispensers. The Farmer family started the business in 1912 and today owns approximately 40% it.
