Overview

With a Las Vegas location, it seems fitting that EXX may be a little down on its luck due to the economic downturn and its slow recovery, and other setbacks. The company organizes its several subsidiaries into two business segments: Mechanical Equipment, including Deco Engineering, Blackhawk, Rochester Gear, Machine Tool & Gear, and TX Technology, produces precision machined components and assemblies; and Plastics and Rubber (Henry Gordy, Handi-Pac, Hi-Flier, and Sellers & Josephson) churns out rubber and plastic parts used in cars and agricultural vehicles. The US accounts for most of EXX sales. Chairman and CEO David Segal and family members own the company, which was taken private in 2010.
