Expedit wants to expedite your shopfitting. The Nordic company designs, manufactures, and sells shop fittings, shopping carts (trolleys) and baskets, checkout stands, entrance systems, interiors, and even security systems for the retail industry. Expedit operates under two business segments: Self-Service (groceries sector as well as the interior design and paint or wallpaper markets) and Specialist Trade (all other business types). The Self-Service segment accounts for nearly 80% of total sales. One of the largest suppliers of shop furnishings in the Nordic region, Expedit owns facilities in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. Elvin Petersen started Expedit in 1952.
