If you've got a satellite but no rocket to launch it with, this company can help. EUROCKOT Launch Services offers commercial launch services for low earth orbit (LEO) satellites. The company is an interesting combination of businesses, a joint venture between EADS (51%) and Russia's Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center (49%). EADS, Europe's largest aerospace company, is controlled by French and German interests. Formed in 1995, EUROCKOT has launched seven satellites since its maiden delivery in 2000. Customers have included the German Aerospace Center, global satellite communications firm Iridium Satellite, and the Japanese government.
