Energizer Holdings Company Description
Energizer Holdings keeps going, and going...and leading the battery market in the process. Known for its pink bunny marketing icon, the company was spun off in 2000 by pet food maker Ralston Purina (now Nestlé Purina PetCare). Its products -- which include alkaline, carbon zinc, lithium, miniature, and specialty batteries -- are sold in more than 150 countries. The company's popular Energizer and Eveready brands account for about 38% of the US retail battery market. Energizer's e2 Lithium and e2 Titanium batteries provide more power for portable electronics, such as MP3 music players. Wal-Mart accounts for nearly 19% of sales. The company gets more than half of sales outside the US.
