The carrier provides scheduled passenger and cargo services to more than 90 destinations in about 100 cities around the globe, including Houston and New York in the US. Emirates operates a fleet of more than 100 Boeing and Airbus jets and 10 cargo freighters. The airline is owned by the government of Dubai, one of seven city-states that makes up the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Emirates is part of the Emirates Group, which also includes airport management (Dnata) and business technology (Mercator).
