EMCO Chemical Company Description
EMCO Chemical Distributors has developed a special chemistry with its Midwest manufacturing customers. The company distributes chemicals that include acids, alcohols, surfactants, solvents, and other industrial and specialty chemicals. Its custom packaging facility provides contract blending and packaging services and concentrates on filling orders for hazardous chemicals. Long situated solely in Chicago, EMCO opened a second facility to serve the Minneapolis-St. Paul area in 2006. Its waste services division supplies processed non-hazardous waste to Covanta's New York waste-to-energy facility; the unit also provides hazardous waste disposal. President, CEO, and owner Edward Polen founded EMCO in 1971.
