It provides its customers with discounted reservations in more than 70 major cities across China, as well as airline ticketing services. While the majority of eLong's clients opt to travel within China, more and more have been arranging to take trips overseas, to more than 140 destinations to which eLong books journeys. Barry Diller's travel site Expedia owns a majority interest in the company; Tencent Holdings acquired a 16% stake in eLong.
