Hf. Eimskipafélag Íslands, better known as Eimskip, is a leading provider of transportation and logistics services, mainly for temperature-controlled cargo. Through its subsidiaries, the company maintains about 180 temperature-controlled storage facilities, plus fleets of some 50 vessels and about 2,000 trucks and trailers. Overall, Eimskip has operations in about 30 countries, mainly in Europe and North America. The company formerly engaged in aircraft charter and leasing operations, but it completed its exit from the aviation services business in 2007.
