Eagle Broadband Company Description
Eagle Broadband wanted to keep people talking (and entertained) with a number of broadband, Internet Protocol (IP), and satellite communications services. Its bundled broadband service enabled service providers, cities, real estate developers, and others to offer IP-based digital services such as high-speed Internet, voice, and video; the IP video solution was offered in conjunction with satellite operator GlobeCast. Eagle Broadband also made IP set-top boxes (MediaPro) designed for use by the hospitality industry to enable in-room video entertainment. Ongoing losses led the company to filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in late 2007 and it is in the process of selling its remaining assets.
