Investment company Dubai World has conquered Dubai and is ready to take on the world. Dubai World is a holding company that manages some 90 entities owned by the oil-rich government of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. The group's portfolio expands beyond the Middle East; its companies come from more than 100 cities. Investments are targeted in four main areas: transportation and logistics, dry-docks and maritime, urban development, and financial services. Some of Dubai World's investments include the world's third-largest marine terminal operator, DP World, luxury real estate developer Nakheel, budget Indian airline SpiceJet, and even a 20% stake in Cirque du Soleil.
