Dry Creek Vineyard Company Description
They never sing How Dry I Am at Dry Creek Vineyard. The grower/winemaker specializes in producing sauvignon blanc but also produces zinfandel, merlot, chardonnay, and fumé blanc. The vineyard's grapes were planted in California's Dry Creek Valley in 1972 by David Stare; the winery was built the following year. Some 35 years later, founder Stare's children still own and operate Dry Creek. The family's love of sailing (the winery is not far from Lake Sonoma, and, farther west, the Pacific Ocean) is reflected in Dry Creek's labels, which feature sailing ships.
