Drexel Heritage Furniture Industries has made a name for itself building and marketing upscale furniture. Founded in 1903 in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, the company is one of the leading residential furniture manufacturers in the US. Its Drexel and Heritage brand names offer a variety of wood and upholstered furniture for just about every room in the house. The company sells its pieces through about 50 dedicated Drexel Heritage stores in the US and other furniture retailers in about 30 other countries. Drexel Heritage, which is part of Furniture Brands International's HDM Furniture Industries unit, is extending its reach into licensing.
