Overview
Who's afraid of the big Dow Wolff? Not the food, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and building materials industries. Dow Wolff Cellulosics makes cellulose derivatives used in the development of household products and materials. Its cellulose products do everything from lengthening the shelf life of a dinner roll to making fast-drying solvents even faster-drying. They are also used in food and oral hygiene additives and by the oil, gas, and water treatment industries. The company operates manufacturing and R&D centers throughout Asia and Europe as well as in Brazil and the US. It was formed when Bayer sold Wolff Cellulosics to Dow, which combined its own water-soluble polymers business to create Dow Wolff Cellulosics.
