The Dover Wipes Company
Overview
Parents of diapered babies nationwide are counting on continued production at this manufacturing facility. The Dover Wipes Company, a unit of consumer products giant Procter & Gamble (P&G), makes Pampers- and LUVS-branded baby wipes, including their tubs and refill packaging. The site, itself, boasts manufacturing operations with paper machines to make sanitary wet paper products, converting and packing operations, raw material storage, a warehouse, and shipping department. With consumer wipes becoming a popular product niche among baby, personal care, and cleaning items, parent P&G acquired the manufacturing facility, which sits on more than 85 acres, in 1996.
