Development Bank of Turkey helps Turkish business get off the ground. The bank -- in Turkish, Türkiye Kalkınma Bankasi (TKB) -- offers medium- and long-term loans to finance industry, tourism, education, health, and energy companies. It's also active in project analysis, equity investment, and fund management. TKB's charter includes instructions to support investments in development of capital markets and foreign and domestic joint ventures in Turkish business. TKB sells securities and insurance, issues bonds, conducts research, develops corporate projects, and helps train Turkish entrepreneurs. The bank was established in 1975 to support economic development.
