Developers Diversified Realty (DDR) is a self-administered real estate investment trust (REIT) that acquires, develops, renovates, leases, and manages retail and office properties. Its portfolio includes more than 675 community shopping centers, about 30 enclosed malls and other retail properties, about a half dozen office and industrial centers, and around 1,600 acres of undeveloped land. More than 40% of its shopping centers are owned through joint ventures. Altogether, the firm owns or manages more than 160 million sq. ft. of leasable space in about 45 states, as well as Brazil and Puerto Rico.
