Designers of Deltec Homes think outside of the box. The company, which was founded in 1968, crafts circular houses to serve as primary or vacation homes. It offers 10 models of round homes that range in size from 300 sq. ft. to 2,500 sq. ft. per level. Each model can be built as a one-, two-, or three-story home, with added living space possible by adding wings or by connecting two or more homes. Deltec Homes designs its homes to be hurricane- and high wind-resistant. The dwellings have roofing systems built with a ring-and-collar system and there are no single, flat sections wider than 8 ft. Most Deltec circular homes are built at the company's plant and can be shipped for on-site assembly around the world.
