CVR Company Description
CVR Energy puts its energy into two primary refinery products -- petroleum and nitrogen fertilizer. The company operates a 115,000 barrels-per-day-throughput-capacity oil refinery in Coffeyville, Kansas, and a crude oil gathering system in Kansas and Oklahoma. It also has asphalt and refined fuels storage and terminalling plants in Phillipsburg, Kansas. The company is controlled by Coffeyville Acquisitions, a partnership of GS Capital Partners, the private equity arm of Goldman Sachs, and the private equity investment firm Kelso & Company.
