Completing connections is what CompleTel Europe does, completely. The facilities-based operator of a fiber-optic telecommunications network provides voice, data, and Internet-related services to businesses, government end-users, telecom carriers, and Internet services providers in France. Subsidiary Completel SAS provides a national facilities-based alternative carrier in competition with the incumbent France Telecom. CompleTel has about 2,500 customers including Renault, Société Générale, the French Senate, and several ministries of the government. A group of investors led by media and telecommunications investor Altice and private equity firm Cinven own 99% of the company.
