In addition to selling books over the Internet, buch.de also sells such media products as audio CDs, DVDs, and professional and leisure software. It also has a partnership with Germany's largest bookseller chain, Thalia (owned by Douglas Holding ), to let Thalia sell its products online. buch.de expanded in 2005 by acquiring Austrian online retailer lion.cc.
