ZMD has been making mixed-signal ASICs, which are especially useful in automotive electronics and other products that have to interact with real-life conditions on a real-time basis, since 1970. The company also turns out infrared transceivers, sensor chips, and other chips for use in industrial gear, medical devices, and networking equipment. ZMD was established in 1961.
