The company was founded in 2002 by producer Mark Gordon (Saving Private Ryan) and producer-financier Bob Yari. The company took its current state in 2005, when Yari consolidated several of his film banners (Bull's Eye, El Camino, and Bob Yari Productions) into YFG. Yari's production subsidiary has filed for bankruptcy.
