No men allowed! Woman's Hospital is a 225-bed hospital catering to the needs of women and infants (baby boys too) in southern Louisiana. Founded in 1968, the hospital was one of the first women's specialty hospitals in the US. The not-for-profit hospital offers women's health classes as well as other educational resources and delivers thousands of babies each year. Services include breast care, cosmetic surgery, general surgery, genetics counseling, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Woman's Hospital is building a new campus to replace its aging facilities with a five-story hospital building, medical office buildings, and increased capacity for its inpatient rooms and neonatal intensive care unit.
