Through its Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare division, WFSI operates 15 hospitals including Affinity Health System, Marianjoy, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and United Hospital System. Its Franciscan Ministries division provides affordable housing units including assisted living facilities and housing for people living with HIV/AIDS. WFSI also includes home health agencies and physician offices. The health system was founded in 1983 and is sponsored by The Franciscan Sisters, Daughters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.
