Western Connecticut Healthcare (formerly Danbury Health Systems) is a not-for-profit medical care provider that administers a comprehensive range of health care services to residents of western Connecticut and southeastern New York. At the center of the system is Danbury Hospital, a full-service 370-bed community teaching hospital that provides primary, emergency, surgical, and rehabilitative care. Western Connecticut Healthcare also operates the 85-bed New Milford Hospital, as well as outpatient facilities offering minor emergency, diagnostic, and primary care. In addition, the health network includes an occupational health organization, a home health care program, and an emergency transportation service.
