Company Description
Scientists and medical researchers in need of money more than welcome a little support from the Wellcome Trust. One of the world's largest medical research charities, it funds mainly biomedical research, history of medicine research, and genome sequencing. Recipients include British universities, projects in developing countries, and the Human Genome Project. The trust uses income from investments to fund grants. The trust brought its technology transfer activities, formerly handled by subsidiary Catalyst BioMedica, in-house in 2003.
