Its four geographic groups and one functional group (Wheelabrator Technologies) provide waste collection, transfer, recycling and resource recovery, and disposal services. Its sites include 271 owned or operated landfills (the industry's largest network), 287 transfer stations, 107 material recovery facilities, and 17 waste-to-energy plants. Collection and landfill services account for about three-quarters of sales.
