W. R. Grace & Co. operates through three major segments. Grace Catalysts Technologies includes catalysts used in refining, petrochemical, and other chemical manufacturing processes. Grace Materials Technologies makes engineered materials, coatings, and sealants used in industrial and packaging applications. Grace Construction Products manufactures concrete and cement additives, fireproofing chemicals, and specialty building materials, used in commercial, infrastructure, and residential construction. Customers include chemicals companies, oil refiners, and construction firms. A US district court in early 2012 approved Grace's reorganization plan, paving the way for an exit from a decade of bankruptcy.
