Company Description
Vivartia, operating through four units -- dairy and drinks; bakery and confectionery; foodservices and entertainment; and frozen foods -- is one of Europe's largest companies. The food supply and foodservice firm operates in more than 35 countries, including Europe, Africa, and North America, and has formed joint ventures in other countries, including Germany and Mexico. It also owns catering firms and fast food chains. Major brands include 7 Days baked goods, Uncle Stathis frozen foods, Complet yogurt, Delta milk, Flocafé, Goody's restaurants, and Hellenic Catering. Greek investment firm Marfin Investment Group (MIG) owns about 90% of Vivartia, which in late 2010 agreed to buy a 58% stake in rival Mevgal.
