Company Description

Vitro America has a window on the world. The company makes and installs glass and glass products for automotive OEMs, as well as commercial/residential buildings and furniture makers, at its more than 20 manufacturing and fabrication facilities in the US. Automotive glass customers include GM, VW, and Nissan. Its ACI Distribution unit supplies flat glass and automotive glass to the US, Canada, and Northern Mexico. Additionally, Vitro America manufactures and installs custom skylights and custom-made glass tabletops for furniture makers. It obtains some of its products from the subsidiaries of its Mexico-based parent company, Vitro, S.A.B. Vitro America filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in spring 2011.
