Music company Violator Records has represented hip-hop artists such as Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Macy Gray, Missy Elliott, and 50 Cent. The company has taken its clients from the hip-hop clubs into films, TV, and advertising, as well as the wireless businesses. CEO Chris Lighty founded the company with Mona Scott-Young and Todd Moscowitz.
