Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (known as Petrolimex Vietnam) is the Southeast Asian country's largest petroleum and petrochemical producer. The energy behemoth oversees 43 member companies, 25 branches, and nine state-owned enterprises. It also has majority stakes in 20 joint stock companies and operates three joint ventures with international companies. Petrolimex Vietnam is pushing strongly to be a state-of-the art oil and gas company. It has a central laboratory in Hanoi, as well as modern laboratories located in oil terminals and ports to ensure quality control of oil and petrochemicals. The company also has a branch office in Singapore.
