Company Description
Vienna Insurance Group (formerly known as Wiener Städtische) has grown from being Austria's largest insurance group to cover much of Central and Eastern Europe as well. The firm, which traces its roots back to 1824, has expanded its network across more than 20 countries. Much of its international growth has come from acquisition and joint ventures with local insurers, which are then often brought under the Vienna Insurance Group banner. Its offerings include the basics of life and property and casualty insurance. However it also offers private health insurance and legal protection insurance products.
