If drinking out of one's hands ever becomes a new bar fad, Vidrala might be in trouble. But since such an eventuality is unlikely to happen, Vidrala, with subsidiary Crisnova, will continue being one of Spain's largest glass container manufacturers. The company makes some 600 products, including bottles for soft drinks, water, oil, vinegar, juices, beers, and wine. Founded in 1965, Vidrala operates about 10 melting furnaces, with an annual production capacity of 950,000 tons in five different color glass containers. About 15% of its sales come from exporting its products outside Spain.
