Since you can't get much from a vending machine with a quarter these days, USA Technologies decided to make them take plastic. Its ePort device attaches onto vending machines and its eSuds works on washing machines and clothes dryers to allow them to accept debit and credit cards. With the Business Express device, hotels, libraries, and universities can run their business centers as self-pay operations; customers simply swipe their cards to use a PC, fax machine, or copier. USA Technologies also sells energy-saving devices for such "always-on" appliances as vending machines and office equipment. Information from the company's remote devices is transmitted through the company's USALive network.
