Company Description
Unitymedia offers a trinity of media services. The second largest "triple play" (data, video, voice) provider in Germany, the company sells digital TV, Internet, and telephone services to customers in the North Rhine-Westphalia and Hesse regions. Its 4.6 million subscribers can choose from among its service offerings or bundle them all together. The company's cable infrastructure -- Europe's largest -- was put in place by the state-run Deutsche Bundespost. Most of Unitymedia's revenue comes from basic cable subscribers, leaving it plenty of opportunity to move customers to its triple-play offer, Unity3play.
