The company, which serves about 370 gas stations, is the refining unit of John Catsimatidis' diversified Red Apple Group, which also operates the Gristede's Foods supermarket chain. The company owns a 70,000 barrel-per-day refinery in Warren, Pennsylvania, which produces various grades of gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, No. 2 heating oil, and asphalt. United Refining's retail segment sells petroleum products under the Kwik Fill, CITGO, and Keystone brands, and sells convenience and grocery items through company-owned gas stations/convenience stores that operate under the Red Apple Food Mart and Country Fair brands.
