Unilava hopes to keep the world talking. The company owns Nevada-based Telava Networks, which provides hosted VoIP telephone and wireless broadband Internet services to residential and commercial customers primarily in the midwestern and southern US. It also offers advertising and Web services for businesses. Formerly named IWI Holding, the company sold its Imperial World jewelry business and shifted its focus to telecommunications in 2009 with the acquisitions of Telava and long-distance telephone and Internet services provider IBFA. It plans to continue expanding its array of telecom services and the reach of its network through future acquisitions. Unilava is controlled by JK Advisers Hedge Fund.
