Michelle Wine Estates unit is a leading domestic producer of wine with operations in California, Oregon, and Washington. Brands include Chateau Ste. Michelle, Columbia Crest, Conn Creek, Stag's Leap , and Villa Mt. Eden. UST was acquired by tobacco giant Altria in January 2009 and became a wholly owned subsidiary of its former rival.
