Company Description

The country would miss out on a lot of entertainment without this cable channel. A unit of media giant NBCUniversal (NBCU), the USA Network is one of basic cable's top-rated channels, reaching about 98 million US households. It offers a mix of general-entertainment programming that includes syndicated series (House; Law & Order: Criminal Intent; NCIS; Walker, Texas Ranger), movies, and original programming (Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, White Collar, Royal Pains). USA also shows such sporting events as PGA TOUR golf tournaments and The Westminster Kennel Club dog show. Launched as the Madison Square Garden Network in 1997, the channel joined the NBC family in 2004.
