Unipower's converters, inverters, wireless power supplies, and switchers are used in computer hardware, instrumentation devices, medical equipment, and telecom systems. The company was founded in 1988. Unipower has sales representatives and distributors throughout the world; it has facilities in China, the UK, and the US. North American Fund III is the majority owner of Unipower, with officers holding the remaining equity. In 2007 Solomon Technologies, a publicly held manufacturer of electric power drive systems, agreed to acquire Unipower; it called off the deal in early 2008, however.
