Tuscany Energy isn't interested in olive oil in Italy, but gas and oil in Canada. The oil and gas exploration company is focused on acquiring production-based properties for exploration and development operations within the Western Canadian Basin. Its two core properties are in the Evesham and Macklin areas situated in west-central Saskatchewan, which produce 162 billion barrels per day of oil and 468 million cu. ft. per day of natural gas. Most of Tuscany's revenue comes from its gas production. It bought Goldmark Minerals in 2009, hoping the gold exploration and development company could help it finance its energy operations.
