Company Description
Oil and gas exploration, development, and production company Tullow Oil has focused its energy on exploiting hydrocarbon resources in Africa and Europe, as well as in South America and South Asia. The company has interests in more than 90 licenses in 22 countries and has proved and probable reserves of 1.4 billion barrels of oil equivalent. Tullow Oil also reports production of 58,100 barrels of oil equivalent per day. It annually drills about 100 exploration, appraisal, and developmental wells in Africa, primarily in Ghana and Uganda. In recent years the company has been ramping up its exploration and production activities in Africa, where it has operations in 14 countries.
