No, Truck-Lite does not contain half the calories as most trucks. A subsidiary of Penske Corporation, Truck-Lite makes signal and forward lighting products for the heavy-duty truck, trailer, and commercial vehicle OEM market. Additional products include wiring harnesses, mirrors, and other safety accessories. It has plants in New York and Pennsylvania, as well as one in Mexico and two in the UK. German-based subsidiary FER Fahrzeugelektrik, acquired in 2004, gave Truck-Lite a presence in Eastern Europe so that it now has facilities in both Poland and Belarus. In 2006 the company bought Flexible Lamps, a UK-based maker of commercial vehicle lighting systems, from United Components for about $39 million.
