The company is developing drugs to combat such occlusive and inflammatory cardiovascular diseases as thrombosis and vascular dysfunction. Trigen was founded in 1992; its backers include Sweden-based venture capital funds family HealthCap and an entity controlled by famed investing siblings Sir David and Sir Frederick Barclay. Trigen merged with German drug maker ProCorde in 2005, expanding its product line to include SIGSCREEN and THROMSCAN.
