Company Description
Tredegar's products can be found over, under, and in-between. The company manufactures primarily a variety of film products and aluminum extrusions. Its film lineup specializes in personal care materials, and protective and packaging films, such as liners and back sheets used in diapers, feminine-hygiene products, surgical masks, permeable ground covers, and cheesecloth. Procter & Gamble accounts for about a third of Tredegar's sales. Aluminum extrusions, produced by The William L. Bonnell Co., are used mainly in building and construction markets. (Its Canadian aluminum extrusion businesses was sold to an affiliate of H.I.G. Capital) in 2011.) Former CEO John Gottwald and his family own about 25% of Tredegar.
