As one of Canada's largest vacation tour companies, Transat arranges and markets outgoing (and some incoming) holiday tour packages through its roughly 500 travel agencies (including about 350 franchisees) and online. The firm integrates all aspects of planning vacation packages, from air transportation to car rentals, as well as arranges cruise services out of Canada and France. In addition to its Canadian business, the company operates in Mexico, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and throughout Europe. Transat serves more than 60 destination countries worldwide. It was established in 1987.
