The rubber hits the road and then some for diversified manufacturing company Toyoda Gosei North America. One of four regional subsidiaries of Japan-based Toyoda Gosei, the company researches, develops, and manufactures rubber- and polymer-based products (airbags, drivetrain parts, brake hoses, plastic fuel tanks, and instrument panels). In addition, it makes optoelectronics (LED lighting modules) for automotive, aviation, traffic control, and telecommunications markets. Key customers include Toyota (about one-third of sales), General Motors, Honda, and Nissan. The company operates more than a dozen manufacturing plants, R&D facilities, and sales offices throughout North America.
