After cutting his teeth as an artist for Marvel 's Spider-Man, McFarlane left that company (taking several other artists with him) and helped found Image Comics . (TMP is an autonomous unit within Image, which provides the firm with publishing, marketing, and distribution services). In addition to Spawn, which is distributed to more than 120 countries, TMP also publishes its spinoff Hellspawn as well as crime noir title Sam & Twitch.
